Is it better to use tanning oil or tanning lotion in a tanning bed?
Do not, under any circumstances, use tanning oil in a tanning bed!! This totally ruins the tanning bed you are using. If you feel like you want to use something in order to make a greater effect on your tan while using the tanning bed, use tanning lotion. To be sure not to ruin the tanning bed in your favorite tanning studio, ask at the counter first if it is OK to use the tanning lotion you are planing to use. This way, you will save yourself some problems if anything goes wrong. But before using any tanning lotion in a tanning bed, consider that it may not be the best option. The Mercola Vitality Home Tanning Bed User’s Guide advises you to have your skin free of any cosmetics (including tanning lotions/oils) before using a tanning bed. Also keep in mind that using a tanning lotion in the tanning bed will result in more sweat, which will then have to get cleaned from the tanning bed.
