Is it okay to apply body lotion before going into the tanning salon?

When I tan I HAVE to put some sort of moisturizer on my face simply because I dry out like a raisin if I don’t. Other than that I would recommend that if you need to put a lotion on purchase an all natural tanning lotion. They moisturize while helping your tan develop. I prefer a natural hemp tanning lotion. I swear it works better than my body lotion to moisturize and it smells wonderful. Regular body lotion tends to be kinda greasy and can inhibit your tanning if you put it on unevenly. You can end up splotchy and streaky. A good tanning lotion will give you an even all over tan that won’t have streaks or splotches but will still keep your skin hydrated. It is fine to put body lotion on right after you tan though. That will not harm the effects of your tan developing and will help to re-moisturize your skin if you did not use any tanning lotion.
