What are some good body lotions with rich nourishing ingredients for beauty care?

In my opinion, the best body lotion with nourishing ingredients is one of the simplest ones out there–Johnson and Johnson’s Baby Lotion. It’s the one in the pink bottle. It’s made specifically for babies, so you know there are no harsh chemicals or other ingredients. It’s also thick and creamy enough for adults to use, without being to heavy or leaving behind a sticky residue. It has a soft, subtle smell, not too potent like some of the other lotions out there. Plus, it’s cheap! Just a couple dollars a bottle. I love this stuff!

If you’re turned off by the idea of using a lotion made for babies, Vaseline’s basic, unscented body lotion is the next best thing. It’s made with basic ingredients so as not to irritate skin, and is free of dyes and colorings. It also doesn’t have much of a scent at all, which is great if you’re layering it on. The only thing about the Vaseline lotion is its thickness; it’s great if you’re prone to dry, itchy skin, but might be too thick for some of those with already oily skin.

Is it okay to apply body lotion before going into the tanning salon?

When I tan I HAVE to put some sort of moisturizer on my face simply because I dry out like a raisin if I don’t. Other than that I would recommend that if you need to put a lotion on purchase an all natural tanning lotion. They moisturize while helping your tan develop. I prefer a natural hemp tanning lotion. I swear it works better than my body lotion to moisturize and it smells wonderful. Regular body lotion tends to be kinda greasy and can inhibit your tanning if you put it on unevenly. You can end up splotchy and streaky. A good tanning lotion will give you an even all over tan that won’t have streaks or splotches but will still keep your skin hydrated. It is fine to put body lotion on right after you tan though. That will not harm the effects of your tan developing and will help to re-moisturize your skin if you did not use any tanning lotion.

What would be a good lotion to use for super dry cracked heals?

A lot of people struggle with dry heels and feet, especially in the Winter when our feet suffer hours in closed-toed boots and sneakers. And a lot of people treat this by slathering lotion onto their feet daily, and while this is good, there are a few things you can do to get soft heels in no time! Something very trusty is a moisturizing sock. These are sold at bath and various department stores, and they are a pair of socks with a lotion inside that you wear overnight for quite repair. Another heavy lotion you can use on dry, cracked heels in Vaseline. Vaseline has so much moisture in it, and if you slather it onto your dry feet daily, or after a shower, and put directly into a sock for sleeping or the rest of the day, your feet will heal in no time! A tub of shea butter will also do the trick.

What type of lotion is best for people with acne?

Everyone of us has been -at least once in his lifetime – a teenager. For sure, one of the most disappointing aspect of being a youngster is the acne, the root of all teen-age complexes.
Nonetheless, there are a lot of medication and lotions trying to limit the acne’s effects, and every kind of acne can actually be cured in these days.

For instance, Benzoyl Peroxide is considered as one to most efficient anti-acne lotion, followed by the Triple Lanolin (which basically contains aloe vera and lavender) and the Proactiv 30-days kit, composed by 2 oz of cleanser, a toner, a repairing lotion and, last but not least, a very good refining mask. You may also want to try another anti-acne kit, the ‘Murad Acne Skin Perfecting Lotion’, that consist in five different creams meant to be used for curing the acne.

Just another tip: don’t ever try to just kill the pimple by squeezing it, because it is not a cure for acne, and it leaves just scars behind.

It is hard to judge what particular lotion is going to best suit you with your needs since it depends greatly on your skin itself. Does body lotion expire after a few years, and is there any harm in using it?

Body lotion does expire, and some big pump bottles of lotion even have an expiration date listed on the bottle. The usable life of a bottle of lotion is between two and three years. And after that, even if the product looks and smells the same, and is even the same consistency, the chemicals and moisturizing agents inside the lotion can collapse and not have the same effect as they once did. A sign of lotion gone bad is separation of the product, with a thin, greasy film layer on top, and the thicker lotion on the bottom. There are no major concerns with using expired lotion, however. Sometimes it can smell alright in the bottle, but once spread thinly over the skin you may notice a funky smell, due to strange distribution of chemicals, or the temperature that the bottle may have been kept in. Some itchiness or small rashes have been noted with using expired body lotion, but that is not the typical reaction.

What type of moisturizing lotion would you use on a child with sensitive skin?

I have two children who both have sensitive skin. My oldest daughter has a few patches of eczema, but even before she developed this I used Exederm. It was recommended to me by a friend who tried numerous other lotions and potions on her child. I got the green light from my pediatrician and tried it. It has worked wonders for both of my children. There are no dyes and no fragrance, among a lot of other things that are commonly found in lotions.
Since using this lotion on my children, I’ve noticed areas that were once always dried and cracked are no longer that way. More importantly I’ve noticed that my children don’t scratch those dried area. They used to scratch the dry, red, and cracked areas continuously, but since I’ve been using this lotion, that has stopped. As a parent I felt helpless watching them scratch, knowing how miserable a feeling that is. It’s frustrating, especially to children, to always be itchy. Now, instead of scratching and being miserable, they’re out playing and doing all the things children should and for that I am grateful!

What brand of hair removal lotion is the best?

Veet is the best brand for removing the hairs. Because most of the lotion will create a bad stinky smell but veet does not have such smell and it is very easy to use, it does not need any blades to be scratched on the skin. So the damage made to the skin is very less comparing to the use of blades, because it make the skin more hard. Veet lotion can be applied and it can be just removed with a plastic plate. The cream does not damage the skin too much but it make the skin more soft. And veet use to come up with many advertisements that it have a best brand too. So whenever you go for a particular product just check whether the product does not create any problems to the skin because most of the lotion will have concentrated chemicals in it which may be harm to the skin.

What is a lotion that can get rid of stretch marks?

There are several lotions on the market to remove stretch marks caused from day skin during pregnancy or weight gain. An inexpensive lotion recommended by many dermatologists is Palmers Cocoa Butter formula. This lotion focuses on moisturizing dry skin to help reduce the occurrence of stretch marks and will work to smooth existing marks as well. Some complain about the smell of this product so having another more pleasant-smelling lotion to combine with it is recommended if it bothers you. Another popular choice is StriVectin SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles. This product, although fairly pricey, is well regarding as one of the best on the market. A proprietary complex is said to improve the appearance of both wrinkles and stretch marks in as little as 2 to 8 weeks by changing the visible discolorations around them. It also improves texture and skin tone with ingredients that produce collagen. If on a budget, give the Palmers a try. If you have a bit more to spend, upgrade to the StriVectin.
