What can I do about redness on my face after completing Accutane?

It is generally hard to withstand the redness and irritation that are caused by acne. But when you have completed a course of Accutane to treat acne, you have to be very careful in trying other methods to treat the redness and breakouts that occur when you are on Accutane. Firstly, you must understand it takes a reasonable time to see the results happening and acne clearing up on your face after you complete Accutane course. It is very dangerous to tamper with your face at this stage to get rid of redness because there is a great possibility to see a counter reaction. Remember, on average it takes about 3 to 4 months for acne to clear up after taking a course of Accutane. Usually even dermatologists do not recommend any other moisturizer to counter redness or irritation that develops on the face. This is mainly because most of them do not go well with Accutane and prove counter-productive. It is good to leave redness as it is and give a reasonable period of time for Accutane to react. In most cases, you can start seeing the results even from the second month. The redness that you notice on the face will only be temporary and you need not worry much about it after completing Accutane.
