What can you do to prevent oily skin after applying makeup?
I have always had a problem with my oily, acne prone skin and I finally started finding out ways to calm that down so I can wear makeup without becoming an oil slick. The first step I take in my makeup application is to apply a primer on my clean, makeup free face to reduce oil before makeup even goes on. They even make special primers for oily skin. Next, you can apply your makeup normally, however, liquid makeup is not good for oily skin, as it just clogs up pores more, making them overwork and thus causing oil! I would recommend using a powder foundation, they last a longer time and are much better for oily skin. After your makeup is applied you should dust your face with an oil soaking powder, an ultrafine powder that will suck up all oil. Throughout the day you can blot your face with oil blotting papers, and if you are on the run, stop in the bathroom and use a toilet seat cover, it is a great alternative!
