What cosmetics should I being using if I have severe acne?

Severe acne is a sign of oily skin, and there are plenty of cosmetic tricks that can be used to combat it. The first trick is to use an acne cleanser, and the more natural the ingredients, the better! Citrus, charcoal, chamomile, and tea tree oil are all effective ingredients to look for when choosing a cleanser, as they contain anti-inflammatory properties and also help clear away lingering oils. Exfoliate afterward, using a store-bought solution or one made from sugar or oatmeal. Always apply a moisturizer, as this can slow the body’s production of acne-causing oils. Now you are ready to apply makeup.
Using a light, mineral-based makeup is important for oily skin sufferers, as liquid makeup can build up around acne, making it look worse. Mixing a powdered foundation with a bit of moisturizer is one of the best steps you can take to make sure your skin can still breathe, even while wearing makeup. Using a loose powder blush and eye shadow are also better for your skin and can prevent clogging pores. The best thing for acne sufferers though, is to be aware of their skin’s needs and meet them with cleanser, exfoliate, and moisturizer.
