What is the difference between combination oily and combination dry skin?

Before we discuss the difference between combination oily and combination dry skin, let it first be said that both skin types are a real challenge to care for. For all of you with combination oily skin, otherwise known as the T-ZONE, you are constantly faced with the problem of over active sebaceous oil glands. This results in your nose, forehead and chin taking on a noticeably oilier look than the rest of your face. Thus, combination dry skin is on the opposite spectrum of the scale and on all other areas of the face looks dry, flaky, and at times even scaly. Caring for this type of skin is a challenge to say the least. It more often than not results in one having to use multiple products to cleanse the face. I do recommend consulting with a dermatologist if either of the cases is severe. If not a quick talk to your local pharmacist should do the trick and an over the counter product should do the trick. Always remember though, when in doubt, always wash with a gentle cleanser and use an oil free moisturizer. Good Luck!
