What is the difference between facial foam and facial scrub?

Facial foams allow the skin to restore its natural balance. However, healing the skins surface and cleansing the skin of harmful elements, is the primary role of the typical facial foam. By comparison, it is generally less abrasive than facial scrub. Working to exfoliate, the function of facial scrub is to cleanse deep into the pores, removing any deep set grease and oils that are prime causers of facial acne. Removing the dying or dead skin cells from the face, a good facial scrub should be tough enough to exfoliate yet gentle enough to avoid skin damage or irritation. The most typical homemade exfoliating scrub consists of a mixture of salt and lemon juice which is great for restoring the skins natural pH balance. However, to soften the skin an olive oil and sea salt mix can work wonders. Despite the obvious differences between the two types of product, both will improve the skins overall appearance and surface health.
