What lotion will help with my extremely dry skin?

This may sound a little strange, but the best “lotion” I have found for my extremely dry winter skin is actually olive oil. My worst dry skin is on my legs, especially my knees, so right after I get out of the shower I rub just a little bit of olive oil all over my legs and then put on clean cotton pajama pants. Washing removes the natural skin oils and causes skin to feel dried out and look dried out as well, so rubbing olive oil on your skin helps because it replaces the skin oils. After using the olive oil, my skin feels silky smooth. I like the way olive oil smells, maybe you don’t, but it is worth a try for how wonderfully it works for dry skin. If you don’t want to smell like you’ve been cooking, cocoa butter is also a great moisturizer, though it helps to melt it first.
