What type of foundation is best for normal to dry and sensitive skin?
The best foundation for normal to problem skin would have to be mineral powders. When mineral foundations first came onto the market a few years ago, they were all very expensive. Luckily, more common brands such as Cover Girl now offer mineral foundations, powders and blushes. I started out using the more expensive mineral makeup products; however, after finding myself in a pinch I bought a cheaper version from a box store. I have to say, I’m just as happy. The more high-end mineral products offer a real silky texture, but the cheaper products do just as good of a job, in my opinion. I definitely recommend minerals over cakey foundations or liquids. If you’re a fan of liquid foundation, I’d recommend going for a tinted moisturizer. These aren’t as pasty looking and offer a more natural look. They also usually contain SPF and some even are specifically formulated for acne prone skin.
